Project 4 Button Mania

Today in class Amy went over how to make buttons in Adobe Fireworks. For this assignment we have to create five kinds of button. It's kinda a long processes, but it get easier with repetition and once you get the hang of it.

3. Size
4. Texture
5. Postion

I have a few ideas I'm currently working on and havi8ng a lot of fun with it. We'll see how they turn out.

Curious George Toy Box Design

For this assignment we were given the copy, logos and a few graphics to put it together. When I first started working on this design I didn't have a lot of direction. I knew I didn't want to do what everyone else in class was doing. I spent a lot of time researching tons of toy boxes/packaging (color scheme, character design and layout). After a long time of sketching I came up with the banana background and incorporated shapes/tabs into the lines. My approach was to not just design a toy box, but to create a design that can be versatile and used on all Curious George merchandise. I really like the way it turned out.

Project 2

For this assignment we took our pictures from Project 1 and created three HTML photo gallery sideshows using Adobe Bridge. This assigment was fairly easy, that is once you got the hang of it.

Worst Week Ever Continues

Yes, I know I'll get off my soapbox in just a minute. Yesterday while I was at work my new Schwinn 21 speed bike was stolen from my carport in my apartment complex. Some Jerk-Wad cut the steal cable lock and took off with it. It sucks cause it was a gift from my friend Mike, he gave it just a few months ago and now it's gone. I don't have the heart to tell him what happen.

What next?

I can't wait to get back to class so I can laugh again.

Worst Week Ever

I don't even know where to begin, for starters my graphic card exploded inside my computer. What that means is my monitor was not receiving the video signal from my PC. (I wish I had a MAC) Five out of the ten capacitors cylinders ruptured/exploded dripping mustard colored goop all over the new power supply I bought last month. Arrrrgh! That explains why I haven't been online this past week. I've been trying to catch up on homework.

Project 1 Photos

Here's are the pictures from Project 1 asignment. We scanned in old family photos and restored them. This was a fun project I could have done a hundred of these. For this blog post I did a split screen of each photo so you can see the before and after.
